The Nye Neighborhood Association (NNA) is scheduling monthly meetings on the first Thursday of every month, from 5:30-7:00 pm, in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center, Newport, OR. Zoom access to meetings will be available. Meetings may include a social half hour prior to NNA business (5:00-5:30 pm), invited guests and speakers with information regarding Nye Beach issues, specific NNA Board business, and all other NNA old and new business, activities, and discussions. Links to the agenda and minutes of the previous meeting will be provided when available.

Annual 2024 General Meeting – Thursday, February 1, 2024

The Annual General Meeting is an important meeting where we vote for Board Members, establish priorities for the NNA, and brainstorm ideas about projects and events for 2024. All interested attendees are invited to share thoughts, concerns, and comments regarding the NNA. We want your input for improving the neighborhood and the NNA.
The NNA bylaws allow for 3 – 9 Board members to be elected to 3-year terms. The Board meets at least once quarterly and generally once a month. There are currently 4 on-going Board members and 2 Board members seeking reelection. Folks interested in running for the Board can read more information (link below) and should complete the attached application form (link below) and submit the information through the email address listed on the form by 5 PM on January 25 in order to be reviewed by the Nominations Committee. That committee will review applications and make recommendations at the Annual Meeting on nominees and on the number of board seats to be filled. Nominations can be made from the floor at the Annual Meeting but will not have a recommendation from the Nominations Committee. Questions about Board membership can be submitted to the NNA through the email address on the application form.
Being a Board member and voting for Board members requires residing or owning a business or property within the Historic Nye Beach Area. All other activities are open to all!
