The area designated as the Nye Beach Overlay, by the City of Newport, is outlined by the yellow dashed lines. Anyone who is interested in the Nye Beach area can be a member of the Nye Neighborhood Association (NNA) and/or participate in any and all NNA activities and meetings with one exception. Due to the City of Newport rules for Neighborhood Associations, board members must be residents, property or business owners, or representatives of organizations located within the Overlay boundaries. Additionally, only members who fulfill those requirements are allowed to vote for the board members and for issues representing the official viewpoint of the Nye Beach area.
